Bardiya National Park is another important and protected National Park of Nepal which was established in 1988 with an area of 968 square km. Bardiya National Park is the largest National Park of Nepal that lies along the border of Karnali River in Bardiya district. During the Sugauli Treaty in 1814, Nepal had lost its maximum region with East India Company, which was later returned to Nepal in 1860. Bardiya National Park was announced as a Royal Wildlife Reserve in 1982 and in 1969 it was known as Royal Hunting Reserve. At last in 1988 it was declared as a National Park. Bardiya National Park is the reinforced habitat for the endangered type of animals and birds with more than 30 varieties of mammals, migrated and inhabitant species (300), and many other species of reptiles and fish. Currently this area is known for the key area in favor of wildlife’s habitat. When you reach this area, it will feel as if you are in a beautiful paradise where you can experience new and different environment.

Bardiya National Park is well liked not because of the presence of varieties of birds and animals but it is because of the massive natural beauty. The National Park is termed as one of the best as it is providing shelter for many endangered animals. Another thing for the popularity of Bardiya National Park is because of the presence of the rare species of Tiger. You will get the opportunity to view different species of Tigers here. Some other animals are one horned Rhino, Himalayan Black Bear, Ghoral and many others. 

You can spend three or more days in Bardiya National Parks. There are lots of things to explore in the jungles of National Parks. During the time of Monsoon season, usually the lodges are not open. Just in case if you are in hurry and want to reach as soon as possible you can take a flight to Nepalganj from Kathmandu. In contrast if you have time and want to enjoy the long distance trip then you can take a bus from Kathmandu which takes 12-14 hours and if you are planning to catch the bus from Pokhara it just takes 8- 9 hours. 

You can spend your time in Wildlife Sarafi that will be a memorable moment and can change life for those people who adore wildlife refuge with dramatic landscapes and obviously the traditional settlement. The area is located far from the unwanted sounds and noise. That means Bardiya National Parks is an ideal place for peace and calmness. 

Some people who are keen on to spend overnight in tented camp will have to bring all the required materials by yourself as it is not done by anyone but it does not mean you are prohibited too.
