Nepal is no doubt one of the best places in the world for white water rafting. Nepal has many diversified rivers to explore for rafting purpose. Rising from the glaciers of the highest mountain range and mysterious high plateau, narrow gorges and rugged foothills along the rivers passes and viewing the tropical jungles of lowland Nepal. Many of Nepal's rivers present some of the most exciting and challenging trips for rafters. For the purpose of commercial rafting rivers trips are Bhotekoshi, Sunkoshi, Tamar, Kali Gandaki, Karnali, Seti khola, Trishuli, Bheri, upper sunkoshi, Marshyangdi lower arun , dudh koshi, and Seti Karnali. The best time for rafting is from October through mid-December and March through early May. During winter various hindrances may occur whereas during monsoon months June through September, the white water rafting can turn dangerous, but rafting is possible in gentle stretches.. The Government of Nepal has opened sections of 10 rivers for commercial rafting.
