Paragliding:
Pohara is among the hotspots for Paragliding in the world. You can imagine how wonderful it is sharing the same air space with the Himalayan vultures, eagles, and kites as you soar over the rivers, lakes and the villages. The mountain loom over you to your north and below you the landscape is dotted with the paddy fields and hamlets. The flying season commences from September through February, November and December being the best months. The destination for Paragliding is Sarangkot.
Ultra Light Flights:
Come to Pokhara fly like a bird, leave your woes behind on earth, soar to heights, bathe in the clouds, reach out the mountain and kiss the sky as you fly across in the ultra light flights. Ultra Light Flights operates from Pokhara airport; September through June. It is also an opportunity to take some breathtaking views.

Sarangkot, Kahun hill, Kasakikot, Naundanda, Australian Camp, Dhital, Rupakot, Mattikhan, Nimarlpokhari, Bharatpokhari, Kalikasthan, Armalakot, Gharmi, Dhampus, thulakot etc are some hill station for hikers to see and enjoy local culture, sunrise, sunset and panoramic mountain view.
Trekking & Mountaineering:
Nepal is pioneer in world trekking and mountaineering and Pokhara is the gateway and rest place for the trekkers and mountaineers since 1950. Snow fed mountians lying north of Pokhara are major sources of world famous trekking routes around Pokhara. Annapurna circuit, Annapurna Base camp, Poonhill, Mardi Himal, Machhapauchhre, Dhaulagiri round, Jomsom, Sikles, Panchase, Ghandruk etc are some popular trekking routes around Pokhara. Similarly, Pokhara is the only appropriate place to start for mountaineering on the peaks of the Annapurna range.
Golf:
The two world class golf course Yeti Golf course at Fulbari resort and Himalayan Golf Course in Chhinedanda are expanded in huge and diverse areas about 8 km away from the main city. These golf courses offer unique golfing experience.
Fishing:
The lakes in Pokhara are good spot for Sahar, Katle, (nepal native species), eel and catfish. The best fishing season here are from June to August. Rods are available at the lakeside.
