Island Peak Climbing 2015

sland Peak which is also known as Imja Tse  is situated on the pinnacle of the glacier known as Chukung, connecting Ama Dablam and Lhotse Mountains. It is the most hunted trekking spot due to its tough geographical structure. The Island Peak is located at the heart of Khumbu region which is recognized as a moderate Climbing peak of Everest area. Island Peak was the name given to the mountain in 1951 by Eric Shipton's who thought it to bereminiscent of an island in a sea of ice.It is said that every year 300 groups of people try to scale this peak . It provides an outstanding chance to ascend the Himalayan summit as well as thrilling hike towards Everest Base Camp plus Kala Patthar. The most difficult part is considered as a mixed rock, ice wall that lies in the slope slides which leads next to the thin summit edge. An appropriate time for climbing Island Peak is in the month of April to May in Spring Season and October to November in Autumn season.
Reaching the summit is a difficult task and hence when you reach the top of the Peak you will be properly rewarded with the splendid observation from there. Trek in Dudh Koshi valley is important before you trek in Island Peak. You may be tired after the trek of Dudh Koshi so, when you feel good, comfortable and refreshed, you will move for the Island Peak.
