10 Reasons to trek to Everest Region


Mt Everest in Solukhumbu region has a mystical status in the world of trekking.  Every year trekkers tackles with the trails for spectacular views of majestic world’s highest mountain and its neighboring Lhotse and Nuptse. 2.    Cross over of Sagarmatha National Park
An area of 1148 square kilometer is preserved as the Sagarmatha National Park through which the Everest Base Camp trail continues. The National Park is also enlisted in the World Heritage Sites. 6.    Everest Base Camp, Chola Pass & Gokyo Lake Trek
Everest Base Camp (5364m) is the ultimate bucket list trekking location which brings you as close as you can get to the highest peak in the world (without a climbing permit). You can view sunrise over of majestic Himalayas in 360 degree angle from Kalapathar (5545m) including 4 of the worlds 800m+ peaks.
 A highlight of the trek is the climb of Gokyo Ri (5357m) providing a wonderful early morning view of the surrounding ranges as well as of Mt Everest and 3 other 8000m plus peaks. It is said that the view from Gokyo Ri surpasses that of Kala Pattar (the highlight of the Everest Base Camp trek).

7.    Everest 3 High Pass Trek
This trek which in Everest Region, takes you to the 3 High Pass which is considered to be one of the most difficult treks. It is a wonderful opportunity to cross three high passes, Kongma La Pass (5,535m), Cho La Pass (5,330m), Renjo La Pass (5,345m). On this trek, you will be passing through vintage points with extraordinary views of the 8000m peaks including Mt Everest, the world’s tallest peak. The trek also features with the visit of the oldest Sherpas villages, Thame which is home to ancient monastery and the childhood home of Tenzing Norgay Sherpa (the first to summit Mt Everest along with Edmund Hillary) and the picturesque Gokyo Lakes, Gokyo Ri and Kala Pattar viewpoints. This trek requires courage, persistence, and endurance to accomplish.
