Nepal Tourism after The Destructive Earthquake


Nepal Tourism after the Destructive Earthquake of 25 April 2015 affected almost every sector in Nepal. Although, most of the tourism products are safe, tourism sector in general is highly affected. However, the miraculous unity amongst all sector of the country and strong international solidarity/ cooperation seen in the miserable moment are the inspiring factors to overcome the effects of the Disaster. Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation said over 80% tourist destinations in the country are safe even after the disaster and this message should be scattered globally. Out of 35 major trekking routes here, the quake inflicted damages on only few routes. Tourist destinations in some 11 districts suffered earthquake damages. The highways and subways connecting major cities and towns in Nepal have not suffered any damages so moving around and traveling around Nepal would not be any problem. Hospitals, clinics and various medical facilities in various Nepalese cities and towns are safe, in operation and running smoothly. There has been no burst of epidemics or viral diseases. Communication in Nepal is not a problem as well with access to telephonic lines and internet working fine and smoothly. There are plenty of hotels in Nepal and tourist destinations around which are completely safe. A huge percentage of hotels in major sites were not damaged by the earthquake and tourists can easily find places to accommodate themselves in hotels, motels and guest houses which are absolutely safe.
                                                     The International Airport, all the Domestic Airports and all highways are not affected. Revival of Tourism in the country will be the main tool to take people to normal life.

There is much to see in Nepal
Out of 75 Districts of Nepal, 11 are severely affected by the earthquake. It does not refers the whole national is seriously affected. Some of the historical monuments in Durbar Squares of Kathmandu valley are affected by this earthquake, some part of Langtang trekking area are affected at this moment. All the other tourism products are there as they were before. Popular tourist destination like Dhulikhel, Lumbini, Chitwan, Bandipur, Pokhara, Tansen, Annapurna Region, Mustang, Manashlu, Dolpo, Bardia, Suklaphanta and many more tourism sites and adventure activates are there as usual. You can experience Sightseeing, Jungle Safari, White water rafting, Trekking, Paragliding, Mountain flight, Zip line, and more as usual.so, no need to change your travel plan of Nepal. Rather you may modify some itineraries slightly and your help to rebuild Nepal by your traveling.
