NEPAL AT A GLANCE Geography Nepal is the Federal Democratic Republic and land locked country having an area of 1,47,181 sq. km (56827 sq. m). It has a population of about 29.6 million. The highest point of Nepal is at 8848m (Mt. Everest) whereas the lowest point is at 59m above the sea level.
